are you hiring?
We are a small and somewhat self-contained partnership so we currently do not have employees. We do not have specific plans related to this sort of growth. Sometimes, we do host guest instructors. We tend to work relationally, and so we often end up working with folks whom we are acquainted with in some way. The curation of our courses and events is pretty meticulously thought out and relationally crafted through relationship tending with peers, colleagues, mentors, and particular landscapes. So please do understand that it may be difficult for us to meet requests to host you if we don’t know you or have never met.
can i volunteer
or intern?
If you are an LGBTQ+ high school student or young adult in Okanogan County, we encourage you to contact us at queernature.info@gmail.com - for all others please read below. :)
We do have volunteers occasionally as teaching assistants at certain programs, but these opportunities are quite few and far between currently. These are usually folks who have attended Queer Nature courses or events, and/or are close to where we are teaching a given course geographically, so often we have it covered and do not have to publicly ask for this support.
We haven’t historically had a system set up for having interns, partially this is because we often are working in a gig-based and program-based way that doesn’t correspond to consistent periods of time, even though we would very much like to support young people and college students who inquire about this. As we get more geographically established in relationship with the place at our new home in Washington, we hope to develop these opportunities more, particularly for young folks local to North Central Washington.
do you do interviews?
Occasionally! Often we cannot respond to all inquiries for interviews, but if the circumstances line up, we sometimes do. We have a very limited capacity for unpaid interviews, but will sometimes do them if we feel inspired about the conversation!
